WASHINGTONMarch 22, 2024 – Today Republican Voters Against Trump launched a new six-figure digital ad and billboard campaign running in five swing states to highlight former Vice President Mike Pence’s refusal to endorse Trump in the 2024 election. The campaign highlights the unprecedented nature of this development and targets Republican and conservative-leaning voters who are open to withholding their support from Trump.

The 15-second ad, which you can watch here, features Pence refusing to endorse Trump, followed by clips of real former Trump voters who refuse to support him in November. It closes by saying, “Mike Pence is putting country over party. We will too.” The spot emphasizes Pence’s moral stand and points to the grave danger that a second Trump presidency would pose to American democracy.

The ad will play digitally for one week in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, and billboards will go up in the following markets: Phoenix, Atlanta, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Milwaukee. You can see images of the billboards and a map with exact locations here.

This is part of the broader Republican Voters Against Trump campaign, a $50 million general election effort aimed at peeling off soft-GOP and moderate-leaning independent voters from Trump. The campaign will run ads in the swing states through November and aims to create a permission structure for historical Republican voters not to pull the lever for Trump. “Mike Pence joins the ever-growing coalition of Republican Voters Against Trump,” said Gunner Ramer, Political Director of Republican Voters Against Trump. “Pence served as Trump’s vice president for four years. But even he recognizes who Trump really is: A threat to our democracy who is unfit for office. Pence is putting country over party, and we are going to make sure persuadable voters are aware of his decision.”
