WASHINGTONTuesday, October 22, 2024 – Republican Voters Against Trump and Future Forward (FF PAC) launched a new eight-figure ad campaign, featuring Kyle, a construction worker and two-time Trump voter from Mobile, AL, who is voting for Kamala Harris this November. The ads will run nationally on broadcast, cable, streaming, and digitally across the battleground states through the election. This comes after the previous ad, Rebecca, where a former Trump voter talks about how she works hard, she’s not “rich as hell,” and she’s voting for Kamala Harris.

The 30-second spot, which you can watch here, opens with Kyle saying: “I’m a lifelong Republican, and I voted for Trump twice, but I can’t do it again.” Kyle says he was affected by Trump’s tariffs in his first term: “He’ll make everything more expensive for regular people, all while giving tax cuts to billionaires.” The campaign also features a 15-second spot of Kyle.

By using the voice of a two-time Trump voter who was affected by his tariffs, the ad aims to promote Harris’s pro-small business policies while criticizing Donald Trump’s tax cuts for billionaires.

The ad was tested for its persuasion value and proved convincing among the soft-GOP and independent voters who will decide this election.

“Donald Trump’s disastrous tariff policies need to be called out for what they are: a massive tax on the American people,” said Sarah Longwell, Executive Director of Republican Voters Against Trump. “The people he claims to stand for would be the most affected, all while he cuts taxes for his billionaire buddies. With two weeks until election day, we are reminding voters of how a Trump presidency will affect their wallets and how a Harris presidency will help them.”

“Trump wants to give his billionaire buddies a tax break and make working Americans pay for it,” said Chauncey McLean, President of FF PAC. “We’re reminding voters that while Trump will make life more expensive with higher costs on everything we buy, Kamala Harris will lower costs for people working hard to make a living.”
