“Hello, my name is Andrew. I’m a North Carolina voter, 2016 Trump voter, and this year I’ll be voting for Kamala Harris in the 2024 election.

“This past primary season this year, 2024, I was a Nikki Haley supporter. I got to meet her and everything, I looked up to her, I loved it when she said, ‘I don’t feel the need to kiss the ring.’ And then I was so disappointed when she went to the RNC and basically kissed the ring. It’s beyond the issues at this point. This is about somebody who’s a narcissist, who only thinks about himself, who… when you look at the interests of Donald Trump, they’re not always the interests of the American people. It’s the interest of what’s good for him at the time, what’s convenient.

“I feel like JD Vance is probably somebody I would’ve liked, with his opinions on Trump, and it’s hard as a Republican, ask me about it, to speak out against Trump when he’s such a popular figure. And I don’t know what happened to completely just turn him around. I guess you could say people can change, but to go from ‘he’s America’s Hitler’ to I’ll be your secondhand guy… a little odd to me. I feel like Vance is one that…. he’s a follower, he’s not a leader. He’s a follower, and he’s gonna follow whoever has the most influence over him at the time.

“As it goes, I’ve not seen a Democratic candidate campaign on border security. That first speech with Walz in Atlanta, she reached across the aisle and said, guess what? If I’m elected, I’ll sign into law the bill that the Senate Republicans put together for border security. I’ll sign that bill. When I saw that, I thought, okay, she’s actually trying to reach out to those Haley voters. There’s Republicans for Harris, there’s all these different groups, where they are actively trying to reach out. And in a time after an assassination attempt, where we should all be uniting, Donald Trump’s out there still saying, just last week, we should purge moderate Republicans from the party. He’s further alienating and taking us out and saying, there’s no room for you here.

“So, it has been very interesting to watch the contrast between the two, even when both have been brought up about his cases. He’s doubled down and said it’s gonna be retribution on day one for me. He’s out for self-vengeance, he’s not out for us, he’s out for promoting himself. But even at a Kamala Harris rally where people are chanting, ‘lock him up,’ she could easily capitalize on that, but she so smartly said, no, no, no. The courts are going to handle that. We’re going to stop him in November.

“I really respect her doing that because that shows the difference right there. That she respects the rule of law, even when she’s in charge, and we have another person that says, boy, if I get back in there, they’re all gonna pay for what they’ve done, all of this retribution talk. So we have a prosecutor who respects the rule of law and a felon who wants to get his bail bonds taken care of.”
