“I don’t wanna live in a theocracy. I don’t want a king.”
“I’m Danika. I’m from Texas. I’m a former Trump voter, and in 2024, I won’t be voting for Trump.
“My take on Trump’s 34 felony counts is I cannot believe that this is where the Republican party is.
“These aren’t a run of misdemeanors.
“Trump didn’t just, you know, meander off accidentally with a loaf of bread in his hand or something like that. These are felonies, you know, never mind that he is also too an adjudicated rapist. How much grace are we going to give? One man, you know, who’s running for the highest office in the land and again, representing us on the world stage.
“One should be enough to disqualify him.
“I first started hearing about Project 2025 over a year ago when I first started, you know, to learn about it, I was like, why aren’t more people talking about this? This is some scary stuff. But when you really dig into it and look at what those policies would mean, the lack of guardrails on it, I mean, especially to the expansion of executive power.
“I mean, it’s terrifying. I don’t wanna live in a theocracy. I don’t want a king. The Republican party I was part of, you know, wanted to retract government, not expand it. I’m very much at a loss for words here because it’s that bad. It’s that terrifying.
“There isn’t an aspect of life as we know it in America that it wouldn’t affect. That’s why I am excited in 2024 to go with my daughter who’s a first-time presidential voter and cast our votes for Kamala Harris.”
