“Okay, so my name is Donna and I live in the greater Nashville area, and I’m a registered Republican. I voted for Trump in 2016 and again in 2020, uh, but I’m not gonna vote for him in 2024.

“When I think about Trump now, I just think that he’s just such a con man. I’ve done some deep diving and I realized that this election wasn’t rigged, there is no evidence whatsoever to support that it was rigged. And, you know, if Trump really cared about us as Americans, if he really cared about us, and in all of these court cases that he says that he is not guilty, then why is he delaying them? For the sake of the nation, for the sake of the American people, let’s get this thing moving forward. You know, do your court time, show where you’re not guilty so we could just get on with it. But I think it’s very telling that if these court case, if he keeps delaying and delaying and delaying, he has got something to hide. He’s got something to hide.

“I’m a Republican. I used to watch Fox News, but something was happening at the beginning of the year where I felt like, oh my gosh, the RNC is getting hijacked. This is not my RNC. This is not my Republican Party, and you seem to be a platform of propaganda or whatever Trump wants you to say.

“And so, you know, I voted for Nikki Haley, and then, you know, when I was barred, it’s like, where do I go? There was such a frustration because I didn’t wanna vote for Biden. I didn’t want to, and I can’t vote for Trump, I mean I can, but I don’t think consciously it’s the right thing to do. So I prayed about it, you know, I prayed and, you know, as a Christian, I think praying is important. And I prayed about it, and what came to me was just vote for democracy. That was my answer.

“Biden reached out to the Nikki Haley voters and he said we welcome you. We may disagree on a lot of things, but let’s find some common ground. You know, that’s patriotism. And I appreciated his extension of welcome. You know, it made me feel like I belonged somewhere, ’cause you know, I’ve been ousted by MAGA.

“A vote for Joe Biden is a vote for democracy. You know, we’ll make it for the next four years if he’s in office, we’re not gonna make it if Trump’s in office. You think it’s chaos now? Oh my gosh, times three. Put aside whatever policies that we agree or disagree on. Now is the time to save our democracy.”
