“Hi, my name’s Greg and I’m from Virginia and I’m a former Trump voter. I supported him in 2016 and also in 2020. Things changed for me on January the 6th, when that he did not take action to stop the insurgency and instead sit back and watch that. I started evaluating him more. And I think I actually started evaluating myself more about what was really important to me.

“I knew at that point I couldn’t vote for Donald Trump again.

“It hurt me when I saw him say that he thought that people who joined the military were losers and chumps. Probably the most offensive thing of all the offensive things I’ve heard Donald Trump say, was when he referenced John McCain, and that was on video. I’ve seen it a half a dozen times where he says that, why is he a hero?

“Why? Because he was a prisoner of war. He goes, I don’t like people who got captured, I like people who don’t get captured. And so to think about John McCain in that sense, who was a great patriot and I think a great leader. For Trump to say something like that, so disrespectful to someone that I think really represented the essence of what a patriot is in America is, that’s appalling.

“And I think it goes, it’s a testament again to who Donald Trump is.

“I’m excited to vote for Harris this year. I believe that we can take the United States back to the direction that I want us to go.

“I’ve watched Donald Trump campaign this year, I’m constantly filled with dread. And as I’ve watched Kamala Harris, I’m filled with pride. It makes me so proud to be an American and I feel optimistic, and we need that, we need that optimism.”
