“All I’ve heard Donald Trump speak of is revenge.”

Video Transcript

“My name’s Greg Hawley. I’m from Virginia and I’m a Republican. I voted for Donald Trump in 2016 and again in 2020 as his positions and that of the Republican party most fit my own. My first struggles with Donald Trump began January the 6th during the insurrection. The Constitution calls for a peaceful transfer of power. I was a veteran and I’m a retired school teacher, and like many of you, I’ve spent my life trying to help other people. Since the jury trial two weeks ago in New York, all I’ve heard Donald Trump speak of is revenge. I’m not hearing any talk about the issues that we face. This election, like all elections is extremely important as we face so many challenges now.

“I can’t believe I’m gonna say this, but there’s no way in 2024 that I’ll be able to vote for Donald Trump. I had been a straight ticket Republican for many elections. This year for my Republican candidates and other positions, if they fall in line with the beliefs and the positions of Donald Trump, then it’s very likely I will not be voting for them. I will be voting for Joe Biden for president this year, unless the Republican Party could somehow miraculously put a better choice before us.”
