“He has said things that make it very clear he feels that he’s above the Constitution.”
“ Hi, my name is Heather, I live in North Carolina. I voted for Trump in 2016, and I will be voting for Kamala Harris this year. I feel like Donald Trump has become unhinged. I used to think he cared about the people, but as time has gone on, I have realized that Donald Trump is a classic narcissist. He loves to attack other people and then gets very upset and offended if someone attacks him.
“The attack on the Capitol, January 6th, was another very big wake-up call for me. I feel like… never in history has a president ever engaged in that type of behavior, and he encouraged that behavior. That is just not acceptable for me, that’s just not acceptable. 40 out of his original 44 cabinet members will not endorse him now. And these are the people that have seen Donald Trump behind closed doors, and they know how he acts, how he thinks. So I think that right there should be enough to convince anybody not to vote for him.
“What scares me about a Trump presidency in 2024 is… I feel that he does feel that he is above the Constitution. He has said things that make it very clear he feels that he’s above the Constitution. The very fact that he is even our candidate, after all of the crimes he has committed, I think speaks for itself. He’s a sore loser, if he loses, then he’s going to say, ‘oh, well the election was rigged.’
“And now I believe he is surrounding himself with people who will be yes men and who will do whatever he wants. I think JD Vance is a classic example of that. He’ll say and do whatever Trump wants, he’s his puppet now. I think Trump feels he’s above the law and I would be very afraid of what would happen to our country if he were in charge.
“I absolutely think, although Donald Trump is trying to distance himself from Project 2025, I absolutely think that’s what his plan is. I think it’s very scary, I think it will take away a lot of people’s rights. He’s just too extreme and extreme is not good or safe for America.
“I am super excited about Kamala Harris for a lot of reasons. She’s very professional. I love how smart and professional she is, you can tell she knows what she’s talking about. I love the fact that she was a prosecutor in California, she has actually prosecuted criminals. I’ve seen a lot of bumper stickers ‘I’m voting for the prosecutor, not the criminal,’ and I love that, that sums it up very well.
“She has come out with a lot of very good plans, like I love her plan for helping people make a down payment on their first house. I believe Kamala Harris actually cares about poor people in the middle class, and I believe she has real effective plans set in place to help the poor in the middle class, unlike Donald Trump.”
