“He doesn’t care about immigration. It’s a massive grift.”
“Hi, my name is Henry. I’m a what I consider a former Republican conservative, now independent. And I’m glad to say that I will be voting for Kamala Harris this year. I’m now in a position where I cannot vote for Donald Trump despite having voted for him four years ago. I did not vote for him in 2016.
“I actually probably liked him more then than I did in 2020. I hadn’t quite yet come to the point of not liking him outright though by 2020. But after, not even after January 6th, but after looking into it more on my own, at the time, I kind of just thought it was a joke and, you know, what the country had coming for it, you know, kind of bought into some of the talking points on the right at the time.
“But, honestly, only like a year ago, maybe a year and a half ago, I started digging more into it on my own. And yeah, I just became increasingly convinced that, he had nefarious intent and culpability after that. I just started diving more and more into him as a candidate.
“You know, and just kind of reevaluated even his presidency. Like there’s just so many things that are just, excuse my English, just complete bullshit that unfortunately, you know, almost half the country, if not about just over half the country, electorally speaking at least, can’t seem to view or choose not to willfully.
“Even like, you know, a lot of pollsters are saying like, the two major issues are the economy and immigration like, well earlier this year, didn’t he basically command the Republican house to botch a bill that would’ve given so many things that the Republicans have been b*tching for the last 20 years, apparently, like supposedly, like he doesn’t care.
“He doesn’t care about immigration. It’s a massive grift. The immigration piece he had, he had four years in office. Two of those were both the Senate and House were Republican majorities. Like if he really wanted to do something he could have done it, he didn’t. I’m very happy with Kamala so far.
“You know, I don’t agree with her a hundred percent, but I like that. She’s really seemed to me, again, I would vote for her regardless of, I think, how intentional, she at least comes off as intentional. She tried to, be in terms of like being more, reaching out to Republicans, which I think, you know, is symbolically important, especially given like the state of the country at this point in time.
“But I’m just done with it. Like I gave him a chance. He, I gave him a chance in 2020. We gave him a chance in 2016 and he, what did he do? He squandered. He didn’t even squandered. He just didn’t do anything. He tried to probably line his pockets for him and his, you know, his children and his son-in-law.
“I’m not voting for Trump and I really hope that he loses in 2024.”
