“He is not running for the American people. He is running for himself, and he always has.”
“Hi, my name is Jackie. I live in Michigan. I’m a two-time Trump voter, and I’m not voting for him again this year. Trump is stating that he is running for America. Trump is not running for America. He is running for himself. He is running so that he can pardon himself, so that he can exercise immunity so that he can rub shoulders with dictators around the world. And no, he is not running for the American people. He is running for himself, and he always has.
“Why people don’t understand this, I don’t know. I didn’t see it initially. I had hopes that he would be helping small business, and large business, and growth, and prices and, all that stuff, but that all went in the wind.
“And the fact that Trump cannot even speak to someone without being derogatory about someone else, just shows you that he is not in it for the American people. He is in it for himself.
“I blame Donald Trump for the insurrection on January 6th. He would not acknowledge that he had lost the race, was heartbreaking.
“It was earth-shattering to so many people, including our politicians that we have elected. They were in fear of their lives. People died because of that insurrection. And what was worse, is that Trump had an opportunity to calm it down, to call their people back, to stop this from escalating, and he chose not to.
“I will never vote for Trump again. I will never support him in any endeavor that he should take.
“I plan on voting for Kamala Harris for a couple of reasons. Though I have been a Republican my entire voting life, I don’t think the Republican Party is what it was. It has shifted. It is not just Donald Trump, but it has been working its way into another far right.
“It is just not the Republican party that I grew up with, and I am unwilling to support it, and I think Kamala is running a good moderate line. She’s not trying to exclude anyone. She’s really being quite inclusive. I think that she does have people like myself that are beginning to take social security and, also using Medicare.
“I think she has us in mind, and that’s important to me. As a grandma, as a mom, it’s important for my children to also see that a woman can be in a role of president.”
