“I don’t think he has the citizens’ best interests in mind at all.”
“ Hi, my name is John. I’m from Pennsylvania. In 2016, I voted for Donald Trump. In 2024, I’m supporting Kamala Harris. I like how they’ve reached out to the whole country, ‘Hey, we wanna move forward. We’re not gonna look back.’ And I think that’s a good thing. As they get support from a broader base across the country, I think that’s going to draw their stances more toward the middle, and they’re gonna look that way moving forward.
“And we’re looking at someone [Trump] who has made numerous derogatory comments about women. He’s been accused of sexual assault. We need to be able to have people who will do better for the country.
“If we look at his choice of JD Vance as a vice presidential candidate, JD Vance is just a joke. The biggest problem I have with Donald Trump was the situation with the Supreme Court. I’ve always believed that the Supreme Court needs to have a parity so that we don’t polarize the country or drag the country in some way.
“I don’t wanna live in a country where particularly the religious influence is too great. We need to be able to allow people to make their own choices. The immigration problem, yes, it needs to be tackled. I’m the grandson of immigrants. The folks who are coming here, they’re just looking for something better.
“They’re not looking for handouts. They come to work. They want better for their children. President Harris will at least be able to lead us in that direction. The way he [Trump] reacted with our traditional allies, particularly NATO, it disgusted me because the threat from Russia is still there.
“The way he sucks up to Putin, sucks up to the nut from North Korea, that’s disturbing. I came out of emergency management at the county government level. We have plans for everything, so there’s a pandemic plan out there. Obviously, they threw it away, they disregarded it, and we didn’t get the support that we needed.
“That’s disturbing. I don’t think he has the temperament to lead this country. I don’t think he has the citizens’ best interests in mind at all.”
