“Trump has been corrupt to a point where he is craving power.”
“My name is Pate. I’m from Georgia and I’m a former Trump voter, and I do not plan on voting for him in 2024. My reasons being that, one, I’m really concerned about Trump’s issues with foreign policy. I feel like he would abandon our allies to the point where eventually we either become like our enemies or our enemies become powerful enough to where we won’t even be able to stop them. And I feel like Trump has been corrupt to a point where he is craving power to be a, want to be authoritarian.
“I think we saw that with January 6th with an attempted coup and what that would look like. Again, I’m not sure, but I feel like he would either surround himself with people who will only agree with him instead of looking at issues objectively, even if it goes against what he may believe to where it will help cement him and possibly have the Republican party continue on this authoritarian trajectory. And finally, with his criminal record, it’s just not healthy in a democracy like ours. To expect our leaders to be convicted felons and to not hold them to higher standards, and to be apathetic about that and not see things as better is just not a place that our country really needs to be headed.”
