“This cult worship that we’re seeing. We have to defeat it once and for all.”
“ I’m Zach. I’m from North Carolina. I’m a former Trump voter, and in 2024 I will not be voting for him.
“I absolutely blame Trump for the violence on January 6th, he stood on the eclipse and gave his rally. Knowing, I mean, we know now that he knew those people were armed and that they had violent intent. And then when they went there saying, I’m gonna go with you, knowing he would not, this is the bone spurs guy, after all, he was not going to go with them, but would send them on his behalf.
“And then he sat and watched on Fox News. I mean, you cannot tell me, the man who stays up until midnight tweeting about anything he sees was not actively tuned in, was somehow at that one moment executing the offices of the presidency when he had not at any point. You cannot tell me that he was sitting next to the Oval Office watching it all unfold and chose to do nothing.
“And then when he did do something, it was the absolute minimum that he could do. He brought the people there. He then incited the people and then sicked them on the Capitol. It was 100% his fault.
“I think it’s rich that a man that claims to stand for law and order is running to become president again as a convicted felon himself. It’s something he’s so passionate about that we’re going to, you know, make this country great again by restoring law on the streets.
“And he himself has taken a mugshot, you know, and it’s just a little bit more of an example of the sort of chaos that he brings. These aren’t even the real true felonies of things that he has done that are the worst. I mean, these are the sideshow to the terrible things he’s done like January 6th, like the documents, I mean, this is the softball stuff that we’re talking about here, and he still thinks that he can get into office with a record like that.
“So, it’s just funny that for a party that has so very often tied themselves and identified themselves with law and order, and with our law enforcement agencies that they now are so passionately standing behind a man who has already faced convictions and will most likely face more convictions for much more serious matters and has broken the law, it seems without remorse and with no sense of stopping.
“In 2024, in November, I will absolutely be supporting Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. I mean, they have the vision not only to defeat Trump, which is the most important thing every time I get asked. It’s always number one, protecting our democracy.
“We have to restore integrity to our institutions and fight off this wave of authoritarianism and this hero worship, this cult worship that we’re seeing. We have to defeat it once and for all.”
