“Donald Trump has absolutely no respect for the office of president, nor does he have respect for the American people.”
“Hi, my name is Marla Berger and I live in Bella Vista, Arkansas and previously I voted for Donald Trump the first time that he ran because I was a registered Republican. I believed in the direction Republicans were going with our country, and I felt like his business sense would be good for our country. As Donald Trump’s presidency progressed, and I continued to see just an utter lack of self-control on his part, and I saw an absolutely utterly devoid of a moral compass. I became more and more disillusioned as his presidency progressed. January the sixth was an absolute turning point for me when our own president attempted to lead an insurrection against our government. That was the moment that I said enough. I will not suffer this man nor contribute to him in any way, shape, form, or fashion.
“As I have looked back on that time in my life, I sought to see what something I heard President Barack Obama say, I sought to find respect for the office, respect for the presidency, and I’ve seen that in presidents, in almost every president that I have ever voted for. I have witnessed that respect for the office. From President Ronald Reagan to President George H.W. Bush to President Bill Clinton to President George W. Bush to President Barack Obama. That respect for the office of the president has been evident in the way those men have lived their lives, whether I have agreed with their politics or not.
“Donald Trump has absolutely no respect for the office of president, nor does he have respect for the American people. He has openly said he admires dictators and despots and I believe that admiration is going to lead him down a similar path in our country. I am unbelievably frightened of what would happen if we were to reelect Donald Trump to the presidency. I, for one, will not be voting for a man so devoid of a moral compass, so utterly disrespectful of the American people and an obvious criminal.”
