“It’s unfathomable to me that a convicted felon could be the nominee of a major party.”

“I’m Chris from Ohio. I’m a former Trump voter, and in 2024 I will be voting for Kamala Harris.

“When I watched January 6th happen on my TV, I was sick, I was sick to my stomach.

“Those people entered the building and they ransacked that building. It was sickening. There is absolutely no question that Donald Trump was responsible for inciting the people for inciting the voters to continue to say that the election was stolen, and for inciting what appeared to be not only an insurrection but a riot at the time.

“It’s unfathomable to me that a convicted felon could be the nominee of a major party, but more than that, it’s that how could Republicans that I looked to years ago and respected, that demonstrated at that time the principles of diplomacy, statesmanship, personal responsibility, and certainly compassion, that they could throw all of that overboard to follow a convicted felon, to follow an individual like Donald J. Trump. That doesn’t demonstrate any of those core values that we had in the Republican party.

“Trump’s not a young man. He’s the oldest person to ever run for President Vance as the next in line to the presidency, Vance is no better than Trump. He’s got the same line rhetoric down. He knows the deal, but he’s smart. He’s multiple times smarter than Trump.

“He would be the worst person that we could have beyond Trump. If something happens to Trump himself, JD Vance is second in line, and that should scare the hell out of every American.

“There’s such a stark contrast between what a second Trump term would be, and a first Harris-Walz term would be. Trump, we’re talking about darkness, we’re talking about the past, we’re talking about retribution. But with a Harris-Walz administration, we’re talking about the future, we’re talking about lifting people up, we’re talking about an opportunity economy.

“For me, as a farmer, as someone that’s interested in rural America and lifting up rural America, the Harris-Walz team offers a vision of the future.”
