“I’m Jennifer Deandro. I’m a little embarrassed to say that I voted for Donald Trump in 2016. By ’18, I realized I’d made a terrible mistake and I just left the party altogether. I voted for Biden in 2020. I’m gonna do it again in 2024. I’m not excited about Joe Biden. I get it. He’s old, but he is not insane. He’s not a psychopath. I keep hearing that we need to protect our democracy, and I agree with that. But beyond protecting our democracy, which seems very abstract, we need to protect ourselves. The plans that Donald Trump has laid out shows me that we would be at risk if he was in the White House. Women are at risk, immigrants are at risk. L-G-B-T-Q people are at risk. We cannot allow this man anywhere near the White House ever again. So I’m sorry that Joe Biden is old, I wish he was 10 or 20 years younger, but that’s our only option. So we need to get behind him and we need to keep Trump as far away from the Oval Office as we can.”
