“I’m going to be forced to vote for Biden in 2024 because I absolutely believe that he is a better alternative than Trump.”

“My name is Scott, I’m from Nashville. I have been a Republican all my life for 44 years. I voted for Trump in 2016 and I just don’t feel that he is stable enough for me to be able to vote for him in 2024, and in fact, I’m going to be forced to vote for Biden in 2024 because I absolutely believe that he is a better alternative than Trump.

“I believe that if Trump is elected, that he will do some of the things that he has already said that he is going to do, such as, he just said he’s gonna release all the people from… that are imprisoned over the January 6th insurrection, if you will. That he is going to become a dictator, even if it’s only for the first day.

“January 6th, for me, was a disgrace, quite frankly, you know, all the other presidents that I have been alive for and old enough to watch, when they transferred power, they accepted the process and they peacefully had a transfer of power. That’s not what Trump did. He rallied his troops so to speak to have an insurrection. He got mad at his vice president for not doing the things that Trump thought he should do. And even after he had members of his staff, high ranking members of staff say “no this wasn’t… they didn’t steal the votes, we lost,” Trump couldn’t handle that and he reacted emotionally and we can’t have that in the president.

“Do I blame Trump for the violence that took place on January 6th? Absolutely. I believe that he fanned the flames and that he had the power to quell that insurrection, if you will, the violence that took place, he could have stopped all that, but he didn’t. And that’s just wrong.

“Never in my 44 years of being a Republican, I’ve never voted for a democratic president. I didn’t in 2020, but, however, I am going to vote for Biden this year. One of the hardest things that I will have ever done in my life is to vote for a Democratic president. I’ve never done it before in my 44 years as a Republican, and it is going to be a very very difficult, thing for me to do, however, I don’t see that I have a choice.”
